The Gaels came from behind to score a good starting victory over Belnaleck. After an even first half Belnaleck went in 0-4 0-3 ahead and extended that to 0-5 0-3 at the start of the second half. The Gaels pulled it back to 0-5 0-4 and the crucial score came the way of Kirk West to put the Gaels in the driving seat for the remainder of the game. With a few players missing through injury and a few more still nursing knocks, it was the younger players who shone on the day with Niall Shannon doing particulary well. Next up the minors play in the Augher 7's next week and then a home match with Aughdrumsee on Tue 16th, a team that also started with a big win over Belcoo.
